Met een equivalente brandpuntafstand van 29-320mm biedt het objectief een 11x zoombereik en is het daarmee een krachtig, lichtgewicht alternatief voor het meedragen van meerdere objectieven.Het objectief waar velen op zaten te wachten en waar al lang over werd gespeculeerd zal nu daadwerkelijk op de markt komen! Dit objectief is niet geschikt voor Full-Frame camera's.
Hoogwaardige optica
De EF-S 18-200/3.5-5.6 IS heeft een constructie bestaande uit 16 elementen in 12 groepen. Waaronder UD en asferische lenselementen, voor het minimaliseren van chromatische aberraties en voor een haarscherpe detailweergave van hoek tot hoek over het gehele zoombereik. Met een kortste instelafstand van slechts 45 cm biedt dit objectief fotografen volledige vrijheid bij het kiezen van de compositie.
4-stops Image Stabilizer
Een Canon 4-stops optical Image Stabilizer – speciaal ontworpen voor het specifieke brandpuntbereik van dit objectief – voorkomt onscherpte bij fotografie uit de losse hand of bij zeer lange sluitertijden. Bij het volgen van bewegende onderwerpen zorgt de automatische panning-detectie voor effectieve prestaties. En omdat het IS-systeem is ondergebracht in het objectief, zijn de resultaten tijdens het bepalen van de compositie zichtbaar via de zoeker.
Geen overstraling of reflecties
Reflectie van licht vanaf de beeldsensor van digitale camera’s kan resulteren in overstraling en reflecties. Om dit te reduceren, gebruikt de EF-S 18-200/3.5-5.6 IS optische componenten die zijn behandeld met de gepatenteerde Canon Super Spectra coatings – voor haarscherpe, onvervormde beelden met een natuurlijke kleurbalans.
